P-DTR Foundation course
Full clinical training in receptor-based reasoning. Five three-day modules over eight months. The full method, hands-on, in cohort. Dates announced by email.
What this is
The full P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex) Foundation course. Five three-day modules spread over eight months. Hands-on training in cohort with other clinicians.
This is the clinical certification path - the structured method you would use to integrate receptor-based reasoning into your practice end-to-end.
Course structure
-
01
Module 1: Foundations of receptor-based reasoning
The frame. Receptor classes, afferent pathways (the routes signals travel from sensor to nervous system), the diagnostic question. Hands-on intro to long-lever manual muscle testing.
-
02
Module 2-4: Hands-on technique and reasoning
Three modules of progressively deeper technique work. Cutaneous, proprioceptive, vestibular, visual, and integrated assessment. Composite case work in cohort.
-
03
Module 5: Integration and clinical application
Bringing the full frame into your day-to-day practice. Case discussions, clinical reasoning under supervision, integration with your existing assessment pathway.
Total: 15 days of teaching across 8 months. Designed so you can practice between modules.
Who this is for
Clinicians who already work with patients hands-on - manual therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, clinicians in movement and rehabilitation, sports medicine clinicians, osteopaths, massage therapists, and applied kinesiologists. You are comfortable with assessment and want a working method for plateau cases.
Best fit if you have already read the assessment checklist and attended the Introduction.
